The INTECAMP EC-CP-06 is a large-capacity stainless steel camping coffee percolator developed for outdoor retailers, camping cookware distributors, RV accessory brands, glamping operators and private-label product programs.

Its manual brewing system requires no electricity, battery or disposable capsule. The pot can be placed on a camping stove, conventional stovetop, grill grate or stable campfire grate. A steel hanging handle also allows the pot to be suspended over an outdoor fire when the cooking setup is designed for hanging cookware.

The proposed standard configuration has a nominal capacity of 70 fl oz, approximately 2.07 litres. That equals fourteen traditional 5 fl oz percolator cups—not fourteen full-size coffee mugs. This distinction gives importers and retailers a more accurate capacity statement for packaging and online listings.

What Is the Actual Capacity of EC-CP-06?

EC-CP-06 is classified as a 14-cup camping percolator, with a nominal liquid capacity of approximately 70 fl oz or 2.07 litres.

Percolator manufacturers traditionally use a smaller cup measurement than the mug sizes commonly used in North America and Europe. One percolator cup is approximately 5 fl oz. A normal outdoor coffee mug may hold 8, 10 or 12 fl oz.

For B2B product descriptions, we recommend showing all three measurements:

  • 14 traditional percolator cups

  • 70 fl oz nominal capacity

  • Approximately 2.07 litres

This reduces consumer complaints caused by an unclear “cup” definition and makes the product easier to compare across international markets.

The final working fill line should leave sufficient space for the stem, basket, coffee grounds and brewing circulation. It must be confirmed during sample testing rather than calculated only from the total internal volume.

Stainless Steel Construction for Outdoor Product Ranges

The proposed EC-CP-06 configuration uses 18/8 stainless steel for the pot and internal brewing parts. Stainless steel provides a practical combination of corrosion resistance, impact resistance and ease of cleaning for camping and outdoor cookware.

There is no aluminum or plastic specified in the coffee-contact path. The main brewing components are:

  • Stainless steel pot

  • Stainless steel percolator stem

  • Stainless steel filter basket

  • Stainless steel basket spreader

  • Stainless steel lid

  • Glass viewing knob

The side handle is made from wood, while the carrying and suspension handle is steel. Material thickness, surface finish and stainless steel grade are controlled through the approved bill of materials for each OEM project.

Reusable Percolator Brewing System

EC-CP-06 does not require an electrical pump or disposable coffee capsule. When the water is heated, pressure directs hot water upward through the central stem. The water then passes over the coffee grounds inside the filter basket and returns to the pot.

This cycle continues until the coffee reaches the preferred strength.

The reusable stainless steel filter basket can normally be used without paper filters when coarse-ground coffee is selected. Optional filter discs can be included for markets where buyers prefer reduced sediment or a cleaner cup.

For distributors, the removable basket, stem and spreader also simplify cleaning and make replacement-part planning more straightforward.

Glass Viewing Knob for Brew Monitoring

The glass knob in the lid allows the user to see when the percolation cycle begins. It also provides a visual indication of coffee color without repeatedly opening the lid.

This is more than a cosmetic feature. It helps users reduce the heat after the water begins circulating and avoid leaving the pot at a hard boil for too long.

Because the glass knob is one of the more vulnerable components during transport and everyday use, INTECAMP can develop:

  • Protective internal packaging

  • Replacement glass-knob packs

  • Retail accessory SKUs

  • Spare-parts quantities for importers

  • After-sales replacement instructions

The exact glass composition and thermal test requirement should be specified before mass production.

Two Handles for Carrying, Pouring and Campfire Use

EC-CP-06 uses two different handle structures.

The wooden side handle provides a controlled grip when pouring. The steel wire handle is used for carrying the pot and can support suspended brewing over an outdoor fire when used with an appropriate tripod, hook or hanging system.

Handle temperature still depends on flame size, heat-source position and brewing time. The product manual should instruct users to check the handle temperature and use heat-resistant gloves when necessary.

For private-label orders, wood color, surface treatment and handle geometry can be evaluated during sample development.

Compatible Heat Sources

The standard EC-CP-06 stainless steel camping coffee percolator is intended for:

  • Gas camping stoves

  • Portable propane or butane burners

  • Conventional electric stovetops

  • Grill grates

  • Stable campfire cooking grates

  • Outdoor hanging systems designed for cookware

The standard base should not be advertised as induction compatible unless the final production sample has been tested on induction equipment.

Open-fire use should be limited to stable outdoor cooking setups. Flames should remain below the body of the pot and away from the wooden handle.

How to Use the Camping Coffee Percolator

  1. Add clean water without exceeding the approved working fill line.

  2. Fit the percolator stem into the pot.

  3. Add coarse-ground coffee to the stainless steel filter basket.

  4. Position the basket and spreader, then close the lid.

  5. Place the pot on a stable heat source.

  6. Watch the glass knob for the start of the percolation cycle.

  7. Reduce the heat and allow the coffee to circulate until the desired strength is reached.

  8. Remove the pot from the heat and allow the basket to drain before pouring.

A typical percolation period after circulation begins is around four to seven minutes, although the correct time depends on water volume, heat output, coffee quantity and grind size.

Final brewing ratios, fill levels and safety instructions should be established through testing and printed in the approved market-specific manual.

Product Development Process

1. Buyer Requirement Review

The buyer provides the destination market, sales channel, estimated annual quantity, target price, capacity requirement, logo method, packaging format and applicable testing requirements.

2. Specification Confirmation

INTECAMP confirms the stainless steel grade, nominal capacity, working fill level, component list, finish, handle material and heat-source compatibility.

3. Sample Development

The sample is checked for fit, capacity, pouring performance, lid stability, percolation function, handle position and cleaning access.

4. Packaging Validation

The glass knob, spout, handle and internal brewing parts require specific protection. Packaging is evaluated before final carton dimensions and gross weight are issued.

5. Pilot Production

For customized orders, a pilot run can confirm assembly consistency, finish, logo position and retail packaging before mass production.

6. Mass Production and Inspection

Production follows the approved sample, drawings, bill of materials, inspection criteria and packaging specification.

Suggested Quality-Control Points

A project-specific EC-CP-06 quality plan can include:

  • EAN, UPC or FNSKU labels

  • Mail-order packaging evaluation

  • Master-carton and pallet planning

Final carton dimensions, gross weight, units per master carton and container-loading quantities will be calculated after the product and packaging structure are approved.

Food-Contact and Market Documentation

Food-contact requirements differ between countries and sales channels. The buyer should specify the destination market before sample approval.

Depending on the project, documentation and testing may cover:

  • Stainless steel material declaration

  • Food-contact material testing

  • Glass and handle material information

  • Product capacity and measurement verification

  • Packaging material requirements

  • Country-of-origin marking

  • Brewing and cleaning instructions

  • Open-flame and hot-surface warnings

  • Retailer-specific test protocols

INTECAMP does not apply a conformity claim or certification statement unless it is supported by documents covering the exact ordered configuration.
