EC-CP-06 does not require an electrical pump or disposable coffee capsule. When the water is heated, pressure directs hot water upward through the central stem. The water then passes over the coffee grounds inside the filter basket and returns to the pot.
This cycle continues until the coffee reaches the preferred strength.
The reusable stainless steel filter basket can normally be used without paper filters when coarse-ground coffee is selected. Optional filter discs can be included for markets where buyers prefer reduced sediment or a cleaner cup.

EC-CP-06 uses two different handle structures.
The wooden side handle provides a controlled grip when pouring. The steel wire handle is used for carrying the pot and can support suspended brewing over an outdoor fire when used with an appropriate tripod, hook or hanging system.
Handle temperature still depends on flame size, heat-source position and brewing time. The product manual should instruct users to check the handle temperature and use heat-resistant gloves when necessary.
For private-label orders, wood color, surface treatment and handle geometry can be evaluated during sample development.

Fit the percolator stem into the pot.
Add coarse-ground coffee to the stainless steel filter basket.
Position the basket and spreader, then close the lid.
Place the pot on a stable heat source.
Watch the glass knob for the start of the percolation cycle.
Reduce the heat and allow the coffee to circulate until the desired strength is reached.
Remove the pot from the heat and allow the basket to drain before pouring.
A typical percolation period after circulation begins is around four to seven minutes, although the correct time depends on water volume, heat output, coffee quantity and grind size.
