60L Collapsible Camp Kitchen Storage Box with Expandable Table

One Box for Transport, Storage and Campsite Setup

The INTECAMP IC-KB60 combines a 60-litre storage compartment, two side-access drawers and an expandable tabletop in one fold-flat unit. It is designed for camping brands, overland equipment suppliers, RV accessory distributors and private-label outdoor product programmes that need more than a standard plastic storage container.

During transport, the unit keeps cookware, dry food, lanterns, tools and campsite accessories together. At camp, the panels unfold to provide a practical surface for food preparation, equipment organisation or meal service. After use, the complete structure collapses to approximately 140 mm high for easier vehicle loading, warehouse storage and retail distribution.

This is a non-insulated storage workstation. It does not include a stove, sink or water system, allowing buyers to offer it as a flexible standalone product or bundle it with other camp kitchen accessories.

What Is a Collapsible Camp Kitchen Storage Box?

A collapsible camp kitchen storage box combines portable equipment storage with a temporary campsite work surface. Unlike a conventional storage tote, the IC-KB60 is designed to support several stages of an outdoor trip:

  1. Pack kitchen equipment and camping supplies at home.

  2. Transport the closed box in an SUV, 4×4, RV, caravan or utility vehicle.

  3. Expand the tabletop after arriving at camp.

  4. Use the drawers and main compartment to keep equipment organised.

  5. Fold the unit flat after the trip for compact storage.

The integrated format reduces the number of separate tables, crates and organisers that users need to carry.

60-Litre Main Storage Compartment

The central compartment provides approximately 60 litres of usable storage space. It is suitable for organising equipment such as:

  • Pots, pans and kettles

  • Plates, cups and cutlery

  • Dry food and packaged ingredients

  • Portable lanterns and lighting accessories

  • Gas canisters stored in accordance with local safety rules

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Hand tools and recovery accessories

  • Picnic equipment

  • Fishing accessories

  • Blankets and soft camping goods

The rectangular internal layout makes it easier to pack larger items than storage boxes with heavily divided interiors.

The box is not an insulated cooler and should not be marketed as one unless a separate insulated insert has been developed and tested.

Expandable Campsite Work Surface

The upper structure unfolds to create a wider working area than the closed box footprint. This gives users a convenient surface for:

  • Arranging ingredients

  • Preparing cold food

  • Serving drinks and meals

  • Organising cookware

  • Setting up lanterns or small accessories

  • Keeping frequently used equipment off the ground

Because the worktop is made from a polymer material, hot cookware, open flames and operating stoves should not be placed directly on the surface.

When the product is promoted for use with a portable stove, INTECAMP recommends specifying a tested heat shield or heat-resistant stove platform with suitable ventilation and clearances.

Dual Side-Access Drawers

Two independent side drawers provide quick access to smaller items without requiring the entire main compartment to be unpacked.

They can be used for:

  • Cooking utensils

  • Cutlery

  • Lighters and ignition tools

  • Seasoning containers

  • Cleaning cloths

  • Small hand tools

  • Charging cables

  • Tent accessories

  • First-aid supplies

Separating small accessories from the main storage compartment helps reduce setup time and prevents frequently used items from becoming buried under larger equipment.

Drawer dimensions, retention mechanisms and load limits can be adjusted during an OEM development project.

Fold-Flat Construction

When empty, the IC-KB60 collapses to approximately 140 mm / 5.5 inches high. This reduces the space required when the product is:

  • Stored at home

  • Loaded into an SUV or RV

  • Displayed by a retailer

  • Packed into an export carton

  • Held in a distributor’s warehouse

  • Shipped as part of an e-commerce programme

The fold-flat design is particularly relevant to importers and distributors because freight efficiency can be improved compared with fully rigid storage cabinets of a similar expanded capacity.

Final carton dimensions and container-loading quantities will depend on the approved packaging configuration.

Tool-Free Setup

The box uses a fold-and-lock structure that does not require separate assembly tools.

A typical setup sequence is:

  1. Remove the collapsed unit from its packaging or vehicle.

  2. Lift and unfold the main side panels.

  3. Confirm that all corners and retaining points are properly engaged.

  4. Position the tabletop and side panels.

  5. Check that the box is level before loading equipment.

The user instructions should clearly show the correct locking sequence. Improperly engaged panels can reduce stability and load performance.

Stackable Closed-Box Design

The closed upper and lower surfaces are designed to allow multiple units to be stacked for transport or storage.

This provides practical value for:

  • Outdoor retailers

  • Rental equipment companies

  • Expedition operators

  • Campsite service providers

  • Event catering suppliers

  • Vehicle fleet operators

  • Overland tour companies

Stacking height and maximum combined load should be established through production-sample testing. Units should be stacked only on level surfaces and secured during vehicle transport.

Materials and Construction

Reinforced Polypropylene Body

The main body uses polypropylene, a practical material for collapsible outdoor storage products because it offers a useful balance of impact resistance, weight and moulding flexibility.

Colour pigments, UV additives and recycled-material percentages can be specified according to the buyer’s target market and price level.

HIPS Worktop Panels

The worktop uses high-impact polystyrene panels to create a rigid, smooth working surface while keeping the total product weight manageable.

HIPS should not be presented as heatproof. Buyers planning to position the product as a cooking station should define the required heat-resistance solution during product development.

Metal Hardware

Metal hinges and supporting components reinforce moving sections and help maintain alignment through repeated opening and closing cycles.

Hardware material, corrosion protection and salt-spray requirements can be selected according to the intended market.

Designed for Outdoor and Vehicle-Based Use

The IC-KB60 can be positioned for several customer segments without changing its basic structure.

Camping and Family Travel

Use it to transport cooking accessories, dry food, lighting equipment and general campsite supplies.

Overlanding and 4×4 Touring

The fold-flat format and stackable profile make it suitable for SUV, pickup and off-road vehicle storage systems.

RV and Caravan Accessories

The box provides portable storage that can be removed from the vehicle and used outside as an auxiliary workstation.

Tailgating

It can serve as an equipment organiser and meal-service surface next to a vehicle.

Fishing and Outdoor Sports

The main compartment can hold tackle, clothing, tools and non-perishable supplies, while the drawers keep smaller accessories accessible.

Picnic and Beach Use

The unit offers organised transport and an elevated surface for food, drinks and personal belongings.

Commercial Camps and Rental Fleets

Numbered labels, custom colours and replaceable components can be developed for fleet identification and equipment management.

Why This Product Makes Commercial Sense

For outdoor brands and distributors, the IC-KB60 occupies the space between a basic folding crate and a fully integrated mobile camp kitchen.

A Clear Consumer Benefit

The customer receives storage, organisation and a work surface from one product rather than purchasing three separate items.

Higher Perceived Value

Expandable panels, drawers and a structured setup process make the product easier to differentiate from low-cost plastic totes.

Cross-Category Selling

It can be marketed alongside:

  • Portable stoves

  • Cookware sets

  • Camp lighting

  • Cooler bags

  • Vehicle storage systems

  • Camping furniture

  • Tableware

  • Overland accessories

Suitable for Multiple Sales Channels

The product can be configured for outdoor retailers, automotive accessory stores, online marketplaces, RV dealers and promotional programmes.

Private-Label Flexibility

Colour, logo placement, packaging and accessory bundles can be adjusted without changing the fundamental product concept.

For a B2B production order, INTECAMP can establish an inspection plan covering:

  • Overall dimensions and dimensional tolerances

  • Capacity verification

  • Product weight

  • Panel alignment

  • Folding and unfolding cycles

  • Hinge durability

  • Drawer opening and retention

  • Corner-lock engagement

  • Worktop deflection

  • Distributed static-load testing

  • Stack stability

  • Handle pull testing

  • Surface scratch and colour inspection

  • Hardware corrosion checks

  • Carton drop testing

  • Transport vibration testing

  • Barcode and packaging verification

Load testing should reproduce the actual production configuration. Results from a market-reference sample should not be used as the final INTECAMP rated load.

Safety and Usage Notes

  • Do not place open flames directly on or beside the polymer panels.

  • Do not place hot pots, pans or stove bodies directly on the HIPS worktop.

  • Use a tested heat-resistant platform when operating cooking appliances.

  • Allow gas canisters to cool before storage.

  • Follow the gas appliance manufacturer’s ventilation and clearance instructions.

  • Confirm that every folding panel is locked before loading the box.

  • Distribute weight evenly across the worktop and storage compartment.

  • Do not exceed the confirmed production-sample load rating.

  • Do not stand on the box.

  • Do not advertise the product as seating unless the exact production unit has passed appropriate seating and stability tests.

  • The standard product is not an insulated cooler.

  • The standard product should not be described as waterproof or weatherproof unless a suitable test has been completed.

  • Dry the product before long-term storage.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Remove all equipment before collapsing the box.

  2. Wipe the PP body and HIPS panels with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

  3. Do not use strong solvents or abrasive cleaners.

  4. Remove sand and debris from hinges, drawer tracks and locking points.

  5. Dry all components before folding the product.

  6. Inspect metal hardware periodically for corrosion or looseness.

  7. Store the collapsed unit away from prolonged direct sunlight and high heat.

Any surface intended for direct food contact should be separately evaluated against the applicable food-contact requirements in the destination market.

Packaging and Supply Options

The fold-flat structure supports several packaging strategies:

  • Individual brown export carton

  • Full-colour retail carton

  • Printed outer sleeve

  • E-commerce reinforced carton

  • Internal corner protection

  • Polybag or dust cover

  • Palletised distributor shipment

  • Accessory bundle packaging

Final carton dimensions, gross weight and container-loading quantities will be issued after the production sample and packaging structure are approved.
